Holy crap, I'm getting old!

So, apparently, this is what I do now. I cut things out and glue them together to make cute things that I mostly give to my mom. I'm the world's oldest Kindergarten student. It's super fun though and I drive my husband crazy with it so I'm thinking I'll stick with it for a while. I've made a few things and read a ton of blogs and I figured I'd start one so that when my friends ask when I turned into the Crazy Old Craft Lady I can just email them the link to my blog and they can figure it out themselves. So here are the things I made so far!

This is the first thing I did. It's a card that I made with a kit from svgcuts.com. They are fantastic and have the cutest stuff. They also make videos to show you how to put it together...you know, in case you're not at the top of the Kindergarten class. :)

The swell people at svgcuts.com also had this adorable bird house kit and I made the little nerdy birdy one.  So precious.

I also stayed up till God knows what time making this anniversary card for my husband the night before.  I spent loads of time trying to find something to do with guns or beer (you know, manly stuff!) and just couldn't do it.  I finally found these rooster and hen silhouettes and I think it turned out a-freakin-dorable!

Last, but not least, I had this pattern from, you guessed it, svgcuts.com for an "explosion box".  Looks mucho complicated, but it's not.  Just very time consuming.  You can just fill it with whatever!  I had this old stack of photos of my sister, mom and me from a trip to the mountains so I used them to experiment and I think it came out great!  I cut out cute stuff, including one of the birds from the bird house kit and glued it all together and gave it to Mom.  Seriously, world's oldest Kindergarten student.  But one of the most talented, surely!

Here's the explosion box opened up.

Here's the box with the lid on.

So far that's it, but I'm pretty proud of my little crafty projects.  Now if I can just get some followers to actually see them...
